This weekend we’ll do one of the classical hikes of this region: La Dôle. (Where you see the radars, resembling large golf balls. )
Note: due to the evolving COVID situation, the hike and details will be confirmed after the government’s press conference on Wednesday 28th October
Hike description:
We’ll meet at St Cergue, hike up to la Dôle, and then go down via La Barillette back to St-Cergue
The hike is around 15km, with a 750 m vertical climb. We estimate 5hrs walking, plus 1-2 pauses.

By car
Meeting place: Parking Nations – Rue Varembé – 1202 Genève at 09h30
Due to the pandemic, there will be a maximum of three people per car. (The driver, can impose a lower limit.)
Price for car sharing: CHF10 per person
Please indicate if you have a car and how many passengers you can take.
By train
Those who do not want to share a car (or if there are not enough cars) can take the train that arrives at 09:58 (departure from Cornavin 09h00 from platform 4)
Meeting Place: Parking of the St Cergue Tourist Office at 10h15
Please indicate which meeting point you will be at.
We expect to arrive back in St Cergue around 16h-17h.
Equipment: Good hiking shoes, raingear, poles (optional), warm clothes, a picnic, and sufficient water.
